Our urgent care clinic gives you high-quality medical treatment for non-life-threatening emergencies, injuries or illnesses as an alternative to presenting at the hospital.

We operate a walk-in service with a dedicated group of medical professionals offering urgent medical care. When you arrive, you will be triaged based on urgency. This is to make sure everyone receives appropriate, timely care for their condition.

Flexible timing including extended hours, with no appointment necessary

Medical emergencies don't always keep office hours. That's why we’re open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, providing urgent medical care when you need it.
You don’t need an appointment – simply walk in. On arrival, our team will assess your condition to determine the level of care you need.
For added convenience, there is an urgent pharmacy next door, open 10am to 10pm, where you can have prescriptions filled after your visit. We are also located next to Awanui Lab (open 7am to 5:15pm), where you can attend for blood tests if needed.

Comprehensive follow-ups and continuity of care

After treating your immediate issue, we can advise on any follow-up care that may be needed. This might include referrals to rehab services, such as physiotherapy.
If you see us because you’re unable to see your regular GP, we can share the notes from your visit with them to allow continuity of care.

Frequently Asked Questions

Between 10pm and 8am, our clinic is staffed by registered nurses, paramedics, and extended care paramedics, with senior emergency medical officers available via telehealth.

We can provide immediate assessment and treatment for a range of urgent conditions and dispense emergency medications if needed.

As laboratory tests and X-rays are not available overnight, you may be asked to return during daytime hours for these services.

For non-urgent issues, you may be advised to wait to see your regular GP or return during daytime hours when full services are available. If you have a life-threatening emergency, please call 111 or go directly to the Emergency Department.

We are a walk-in clinic for urgent medical needs and accidents. Patients are assessed on arrival and prioritised based on the urgency of their condition. At busy times, particularly when there are many unwell patients in the clinic, waiting times may be longer.

We use a triage system, which means patients who need more urgent care may be seen before others. We also run additional services, such as hospital X-rays and immigration medicals, and these patients may sometimes be seen out of the order they arrived.

For safety reasons, we ask that you remain in the waiting room until you are seen. If you need to step out briefly to pay for parking, move your car or grab a bite to eat, please speak with our nursing staff first.

No, we do not have access to your GP records. Our medical staff can only access lab results, notes from previous visits to our clinic and prescription records.

One of our team will contact you by text or phone about any radiology or lab results. If you have a local GP, they will receive a copy of your results and can discuss them with you. We do not upload results to Manage My Health.

We can provide medical certificates for time off work or restricted duties related to the condition you are seen for during your visit. For long-term ACC or WINZ medical certificates, you will need to see your regular GP.
We are now open 24 hours a day.  Between 10pm and 8am the clinic is staffed by registered nurses, paramedics, and extended care paramedics with telemedicine support
