Regular clinics offering prompt treatment
Our fracture clinics are run by expert doctors to provide follow-up treatment for fractures that have already been treated initially. Clinic appointments help us monitor the progress of a healing bone, check the position of the bone in a cast, and decide if we need to change the treatment plan, such as re-manipulating the fracture or removing a cast.
To enable prompt treatment, our fracture clinic runs five days a week – between 8 AM and 5 PM to ensure no significant time is lost in treating your injury. Please note that although an appointment time is given, if you are having X-rays, casts removed or other treatments, this may take some time to complete and there may be delays.
A holistic approach to orthopaedic care
The team at our fracture clinic works closely with local medical professionals to ensure you receive the best care. As well as taking walk-ins for fractures at our urgent medical care clinic, we can accept referrals from local GPs or the hospital for follow-up treatment after they have dealt with the initial injury. We may also refer you to the hospital if surgery is required.
After your immediate treatment, we'll arrange for two, four, or six-week check-ups, which will allow us to monitor your progress and tweak treatment plans as needed.
As part of your recovery, we strive to provide holistic care. This means working closely with a network of healthcare professionals, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists and primary care physicians. This multidisciplinary approach ensures that your treatment is comprehensive and coordinated.
We'll also keep you fully informed about the fracture and its potential impact on you, the treatment you will receive, and additional things that you can do to aid your recovery and prevent further issues.
We are now open 24 hours a day. Between 10pm and 8am the clinic is staffed by registered nurses, paramedics, and extended care paramedics with telemedicine support
