Regular clinics to allow prompt treatment

Our fracture clinic is designed to provide follow-up care after the initial treatment of a fracture. During these appointments, we check how the bone is healing, review X-rays if needed, and make sure the fracture remains well supported in a cast or splint. We can organise pain relief, work certificates and ACC paperwork at your appointment.
Please note that while appointment times are scheduled, visits may take longer if X-rays, cast removal and application or other treatments are required.

A holistic approach to orthopaedic care

Our fracture clinic works closely with local healthcare providers to support your recovery. As well as assessing fractures through our urgent care service, we accept referrals from local GPs and the hospital for follow-up treatment after the initial injury has been managed. If specialist care or surgery is required, we can refer you to Dunedin Public Hospital.
As part of your recovery, we may recommend further support from other healthcare providers, such as physiotherapists or occupational therapists.
We will always provide clear information about your injury, your treatment plan, and steps you can take to support healing and reduce the risk of further injury.
We are now open 24 hours a day.  Between 10pm and 8am the clinic is staffed by registered nurses, paramedics, and extended care paramedics with telemedicine support
